So… Max and I got married!

Is there anyone with internet access who doesn’t already know this?

I’m deliberately keeping personal details sketchy as I am aware that this is a very public website – but what I can tell you is thatΒ we had the most perfect wedding day!

For Max and I, a wedding was always on the cards, when we met four years ago, I think we both just knew it’d happen some day. We’ve been through a hell of a lot – last year with my brain cancer was a challenge that I wouldn’t wish on anybody. It’s very important to me that people know how phenomenally supportive Max was – especially when there was no guarantee for us and that everything could have been for nothing.

This, along with our fairly basic outlook on life anyway, meant that it was important to us to keep the day focused on being a wedding, to keep it simple and to keep it about us.

We found a nice registry office and enjoyed a night down our local pub with our nearest and dearest. We absolutely just wanted to lay the foundations and let our guests make the magic happen – it’s to them we owe our thanks for giving us such a spectacular and homely day!

Not to say that people who choose to go all out are doing anything wrong in our view, but a big extravagance that takes months and thousands of pounds to realise just isn’t us.
