Life Update: 23rd August 2010

I figured that it was time for a bit of a personal update to my blog, as the last time I posted about life in general, it was at one of those times where everything was manic and ‘exciting’, though really we all know life is a little more mundane for the other 360-odd days of the year, including today.

This post finds me on my lunch hour at work, I’m eating a ham sandwich, sipping on an Innocent smoothie (the package says it’s for kids, but I disagree!) and I have my Musical Theatre playlist on my Spotify player. Currently, it’s playing Where Do I Go from HAIR – don’t panic, there’s no nudity in the clip below (but Joseph, this is your cue to get your family to go to the bathroom or something :P)

The last few weeks have been a bit of a jumble to be honest, and the coming weeks look to jumble me about even more. At this rate, with all this jumbling about, I’m worried that I’m going to end up cast to one side in a jumble sale! (I’ve so just decided that ‘jumble’ is my word of the day, hehe!).

Work wise, everything is terribly busy. The promised respite seems not to be materialising, and it’s proving pretty demanding at the moment. Still, one keeps smiling as one does – I don’t think I’d be able to get up in the mornings if I didn’t decide to ‘give them the ol’ razzle dazzle, and shine!’.

For anyone who doesn’t know, I’m now sorted for a new flatmate – I’m going to be moving to Vauxhall, hurrah! The biggest plus of this is going to be that I can walk in to work every morning and I’m going to be right above my gym, so hopefully I’ll start to feel better about myself in the coming weeks!

I managed to make a bit of a meal out of something last night, which I’m regretting today, and which I’m hoping that sorts itself out in the coming hours… but I think that my feelings on that situation are something for a more private ‘just for me’ blog post – I find writing things out helps me work them through properly.

So yeah, today I’m a bit meh, in fact, most days I’m a bit meh at the moment! (except for my Wednesdays off as they tend to be fun :P).

Looking ahead to my social plans for the next week or so, I’m off to the Noel Coward Theatre to see DeathTrap tonight, which I am very much looking forward to – and not just because it has the hunky Jonathan Groff in it! I’m going along on my own with the West End Whingers and their entourage on a big group outing, so I’m going to try my hardest not to be shy… eek!  Tuesday evening I’ve got a corporate dinner at a nice fancy restaurant, hurrah, then from Thursday through to next Monday, I’m in Manchester – I can’t wait!!

I’ve also just booked a short stay in Brighton with Joseph for the start of September which I’m really looking forward to – hotel on the seafront, good company, it’s miles from London, and they have nice fish & chips – nom!! 😀

So yeah, there you have it – a blog post about not very much. Currently I’m feeling a little rundown and thus a bit ‘meh’ but I’ve got a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks, and a very busy schedule ahead before the move. I should take this opportunity to add that if you’re in Manchester whilst I am (and if I know you from real life or online), I’m currently looking for stuff to do, so do let me know if you fancy meeting up and going for coffee or something.

Thanks for reading and hope you’re all well 🙂
