Messing aroung with Irfanview

I’ve been using Irfanview as my imaging software for quite a while now.

I mainly use it to resize pictures, as my phone takes them in very high resolution, and sometimes I find a need to reduce them in size for certain websites (as many have file size limits).

I took a picture earlier and decided to see what it could do with effects – they are certainly limited, however in 3 minutes, I managed to create two images that I rather like.

I’d say the latter is perhaps my favourite avatar of all the images that I’ve used as an avatar in the past. Both were created using simple colour/contrast substitution (so sniff away all you graphic design artists hehe!).

I’d love to be able to do some really cool effects with photo editing software, however at the moment I just don’t have the skills to be able to do that I don’t think… though I’ve been promising myself that I need to learn soon! 🙂
